When we began to work with one of our clients, this company was a newbie in IT. Before that, the company was working offline in a completely different field, and at some point, they decided to create an IT startup.

The project was based on big data. They planned to create mobile software that would analyse the way a person uses a smartphone. Based on the collected data, the software forms individual recommendations on apps and other mobile products.

The company only had an idea for the product but not the team, or market understanding, or any evaluation points for the specialists. All of this had to be built from scratch. And that was our task.

We combined two roles: recruiters and consultants. Our goal was to gather a team but also build a whole algorithm of recruiting.

SHARE THE EXPERIENCE AND LAY THE FOUNDATION

As a basis, we chose our own principles of personnel search and selection and applied them to the client's specific situation. Throughout this time we:

  • Developed the search system for open and closed sources;

  • Created several test tasks and technical tests to evaluate the developers;

  • Gave recommendations on how to organize the work on an IT team.

To form the core of the team, we found two leading developers for frontend and backend. Before that, they both worked in established IT companies and had experience in building processes. A young ambitious startup was a perfect stage for them to show their skills and enjoy the freedom of action. The developers found this point extremely valid and accepted the offers.

The client’s recruiters hired six more people under our supervision using the algorithm we created. And that’s how the product development started.

The client knew this and asked for our help at the very outset. Together we managed to gather up a powerful team and learned to distinguish the weak candidates before they make it onto the team.

We helped our client to walk the path from an idea to the real development process. We tuned every aspect of recruitment and HR work so that the client could get real pros to work on the project. All the personnel questions are now solved by the client itself — no strings attached.
