TO FIND A SALESFORCE DEVELOPER, WHO WOULD BUILD UP A TEAM

One of the biggest German consulting and IT companies asked us to find a salesforce developer for its office in Krakow. The company had just begun to implement the system, and in some time this person was to gather up a team and take the lead position.

At that moment, Salesforce was a relatively new field of expertise in Poland, and we didn’t have many local specialists to choose from. One could count these specialists on the fingers of one hand. Where were we to find such a rare pro?

As our recruiter assumed, most of the Salesforce folks in Krakow were already happily employed. Then the recruiter turned his gaze to the neighboring countries and regions. A market analysis showed that there were Salesforce specialists in Armenia.

The recruiter practically went through the candidates manually, one by one, checking the professional websites and lists of conference speakers, writing to every person who seemed relevant to us. But 95% of the candidates refused because of the relocation.

One of them, though, was very interested in the position: he loved the field and the client, and he was charmed by the idea of becoming a team lead and building a team from scratch. The relocation didn’t bother him, although it brought up some inconveniences. However, we agreed to take over them.
