TO FIND A RARE SENIOR PCB DESIGN ENGINEER, EXPERIENCED IN SOUND

Our client is famous for its products for the sound industry. Despite being in the market for more than 25 years, its development team was working at a rapid pace. At some point, they needed a Senior PCB Design Engineer.

A fine line between metal and software, plus experience with the sound industry. Oh, and don’t forget about seniority and the fact that the office is in a small seaside city. What input data, right? It was a tough call.

REGIONS, YOU’RE UP

It’s already quite hard to find a senior specialist with such specific work experience. The seaside city didn’t make it easier for us. Candidates from Tallinn or Helsinki, who would happily relocate to a faraway south region? It is possible but still highly unrealistic, and making this scenario the primary bet would be insane.

So we decided to go for the regions: there must have been a highly skilled professional who knew the architecture of the printed circuit boards inside and out. We found quite some such candidates on LinkedIn and contacted them in Messenger as well.

One of the candidates caught our eye. A family guy, an engineer from a big city. He was among the first candidates we found and based on his experience, basically the only one we needed. After the introduction to the company, it turned out the candidate met the HR and tech leads requirements perfectly.

And the cherry on top of the cake: the candidate had always dreamed about moving to the seaside! He was fed up with the black skies of the big city, and the client's offer was a great opportunity to move his children to a location with clear skies and warm waves.
